My wife dropped me off at the Shell station across Hwy 212 from the start in Boring, OR.
I took a photo by the 'Welcome to Boring' sign, started my watch, and set off. My goal was to average ~7 minute miles for the attempt, and ended up averaging slightly under that. Weather was perfect, and I got really lucky with road crossings. I only had to stop for a few and each was a <10s delay. Much of the trail is long sweeping curves, so I tried to follow the tangents and hug the inside line as much as possible to prevent running a lot of unnecessary distance. My Stryd measured >22 miles, so I'm not sure I did a great job at that.
I took a photo of the Springwater Corridor sign at the end, and walked to meet my wife where she parked at OMSI.
Overall, I'm really happy with how my attempt went! I held my power output steady at ~320 watts for the whole time and the effort felt very controlled until the last ~2 miles or so. Fueling went really well, I consumed 1095 calories/273g of carbs while running or ~110g of carbs/hour with no GI issues. I think that contributed greatly to how smoothly this run went/how decent I feel afterwards.
