I was trying to figure out something to do for Thanksgiving, and figured I'd give the Lake Washington Loop a run! I started from the west part of Lake Washington at I-90 and went counter clockwise.  Before I started, I dropped water and food around mile 21, and mile 35, and was pleased to find both still there when I arrived.  I carried my ultimate direction pack the whole way with a liter of water at the start, ~500 mL of Tailwind, a few stroopwafels, and a nature's bakery fig bar.  I was pretty pleased with the execution of the food/water drops and what I carried from the start.  I ran into one of my coworkers on the Burke and ran with her for about a half mile near UDistrict, but she had just finished up her run.  The area from Bellevue up to the Burke was pretty brutal, several climbs and a lot more people than other parts of the route.  I only decided to run this a week ago, and admittedly, was not in very good road shape for this.  The first marathon felt decent, but soon after my legs started cramping.  Happy to finish with the time I did, excited to see others go for this route!
