Felt like a great short race effort for this early in the season, but also highlighted my current deficiencies! I am missing that top gear for the ascents, and just barely missed out on the ascent segment crown.
Otherwise the trail was gorgeous, with early morning mist and tons of wildflowers out.
I have done several trail recon missions at this point, so i am pretty familiar with the trail, and know where to push and which rocky sections to tread carefully.
Perfect temps, nice and cool (almost cold); definitely would recommend a spring or late fall send!
