This was day two of back-to-back long runs, and I didn't go very fast, so my time should be pretty easy to beat. I am training for a 50 mile race where we cannot wear headphones, so I wanted to replicate that experience, but this is a very flat and boring run to do without mental stimulation. I carried all my food and water in my running vest, but I didn't find it to be all that necessary to have because the run was under 4 hours (usually the maximum I can go without nutrition/fluids). Part of the bike trail is rerouted at the moment due to construction, but I still snuck through the fence so I could stay on the outlined course. I ran this route twice in the wintertime (very icy and required traction devices on my feet) and weirdly enough, I was faster, but my legs were fresher and I was used to running on pavement (versus the mountains legs I have been training more recently). It would be cool to connect this section of bike trail to Williamsburg and/or Easthampton for another potential FKT route.
