Perfectly chill crisp air for the uphill to the Crest. I ran into a stream of mountain bikers along the Crest which broke up the pace through Puke Hill, then it was open trail for the second half. I got insanely dehydrated starting with no water, and not finding any until Lake Mary (which was the disgusting fall dregs of the lake, even filtered it smelled~). Things warmed up from the sun for the climb out of Twin Lakes. It was my first time on the Days Fork trail (outside of ski season) and it just felt like a long and rocky downhill push to the finish. Altogether a beautiful loop with fall colors. The whole time, I thought the standing FKT was 4:06 (it was actually 4:34) which motivated me pretty hard to come in under 4hrs. Another great day in the Wasatch!
