Saw this route near where I was camping so I decided to give it a rip. I started around 0715 but not early enough. Before long, the sun was shining and the flies were biting. Encountered one other person above treeline about 9 miles in. He must have been through-hiking, as all his belongings were strewn about and on the trail. I startled him and he apologized remarking "didn't expect to see anyone else". The trail became hard to follow at times up high. The willows are trying their best to make their presence known. The descent along Williams Ck is overgrown and rocky making for treacherous footwork. I smoked an obscured boulder and dinged my knee pretty good. Dialed back my pace after that until the trail opened up again near the end. Lovely, remote loop.
