I ran this loop for the first time back in the spring with a friend. Decided to give it a second go solo and eliminate as much dawdling as possible. Fresh deadfall was a minor issue in places from the recent wind. I missed peak fall by a few weeks it seemed; many yellow brick trails. Didn't see more than about a dozen people for the whole loop. And didn't see a soul until past around mile 12. About 40F at the start and around 60 by the finish; mostly sunny. Nice morning in the wilderness ahead of winter.
