I ran unsupported from the corkscrew peak sign off Daylight Pass Road to the summit and back. I decided to take Ashley's route since it does have a designated start and end point marker. I have done the trail from lower down and though it is more xc with less cairns I remember it being less sandy...
The initial couple miles up the wash are quite sand sloggy. The upper descent is also a bit scary! so steep and so loose. I kept it safe through that section.
Decided to run with no water. That was dumb, it felt extra toasty and I wish I had a little something with me.
Carried my emergency bivy, houdini, gloves and Garmin inreach mini. Also had a backup gel that I didn't use.
