Amabilis Mtn is very popular in winter with snowshoers, cross country and backcountry skiers because it is just steps from I90 making winter access a breeze. In other seasons, it's nordic ski trail system provides nice rolling terrain for trail running and mountain biking, but yet remains off mosts radar. Like most mountains, it's views improve with elevation and as you get closer to the top, good views are had of Mt Rainier, the jagged peaks of the central Cascades and Lake Kachess directly below.
