I ran the Cheshire circuit from Frodsham, clockwise. I was supported by a car crew and had company from mile 40 onwards. There were two diversions, both adding distance to the route. The first was just before Audlem, where the public path was closed due to the bridge being unsafe. The second was after Whitchurch, where the Llangollen canal has collapsed.
I resupplied with water and snacks bags at the aid stations, and my running companions were mainly there to remind me to eat and drink. I carried all of my own kit.
There were thousands of nettles, lots of brambles, and between Audlem and Whitchurch, many farmers had blocked the public footpaths with electric fences or impassable gates. This made for interesting crossings... The sandstone trail was incredible as expected, and the weaver way was flat but not fast, given the copious amounts of nettles.
