A really enjoyable trail to run which covers the most beautiful parts of Bedfordshire. We started at approximately 06.30 in Leighton Buzzard and then ran alongside the Grand Union Canal, the morning was grey and overcast which was a welcome start to the run. Some highlights of this run include Rushmere Country park, Woburn Abbey , Ampthill Park, Maulden Woods. We encountered a number of Muntjacks, Deer, pheasants, Red Kites and Buzzards throughout the day. Also, so many beautiful views along the ridge line throughout the day. We stopped at Ampthill which was the half-way point (20 miles) to refuel on water, this was the only stop for supplies during the day.
