I completed this route Sourh to North, solo & unsupported.. The trails and blazes are in good condition and I can’t wait to see who easily lowers this time soon. I got a little turned around at the first beach crossing ( don’t actually go to the sand), missed a turn off black mountain, was confused by the lack of an actual summit of Catherine and wasted time ( just a random big cairn) and had a little trouble finding the true summit on Tunk ( it’s not where everyone else stops and the many trails get very small to the building/ true summit , there is a survey market). Zero people in the gorgeous stretch between the Donnell Pond beach and Blackwoods Road crossing, but the bookend peaks of Schoodic and Tunk were very popular on this nice summer weekend. I brought all my own water, but there is a stream right after Blackwoods road that would be a great filter spot.
