FKT: Celestial Young - Trapper Peak - 2026-10-08

After suffering a ruptured ACL and meniscus during what was already the most difficult year of my life, I was told I would not be able to return to trail running without reconstruction surgery.

Naturally, I had to prove that wrong.

Four months later, after countless hours of rigorous physical therapy, this was my second time summiting Trapper since my injury. I completed the route without the aid of trekking poles and was blessed with beautiful conditions and peaceful solitude on the summit.

After the ascent, I skipped merrily back down the trail while sipping my Red Bull, grateful that I was out there running mountains again.
