At 8:03AM this morning, I started running the Cooper's Fall Trail out and back in the rain. This trail is fairly local to my house, but today was only the 2nd time I've ever run it.
It's fairly technical but the rain and wet rocks made it a little slower. I didn't want to risk hurting myself. One section of the trail, at the bridges along the edge of the pond, was very overgrown and certainly not ideal...especially because I had to trudge through it in each direction.
I made it to the other end of the trail (see photo) at 8:58am (55 min).
Unfortunately I lost the trail a little on my way back and was frantically looking for it, while fighting the mosquitoes and deer flies!!
This is not my fastest FKT, but the timing in my training schedule was ideal. Sometimes you just got to go for it, even when the conditions aren't ideal.
By the end of my run, I was drenched from head to toe :)
Animal sighting: 1 deer
