Our annual northern trip continues...On our way to hike Casques Isles, Jamieson had a great idea to return to Pukaskwa National Park (our destination in 2024). 😍
To access the loop, I hiked/jogged the main trail (almost 6km - perfect warmup). A quick starting photo, and I started the loop solo at 11:13AM.
Really not knowing what to expect, and with our 106km hiking trip starting the very next day, I took it fairly conservative. I didn't want to hurt myself. The trail seemed like either a new trail, or alightly travelled trail. It was rugged, with plenty of punchy climbs. I didn't find it very runnable until the last 2.5ish kilometres.
Highlights:
- beautiful views
- new place to explore
- supporting our National Park
- returning to a special place with great memories on our last year's big mixed-gender FKT.
I finished the trail, high-fived Jamieson who has been waiting for me for quite some time and hiked the ~ 6km back out.
✌🏼
(This is the 2nd of 3 FKTs in a week 😁)

**oops, there's a typo in my report. Pukaskwa was our northern destination trip in 2023* (not 2024 🤦🏼♀️)
