Great day out in the front ranges, and one of the best running traverses in the area for sure! Some flagging in the forest up to glasgow helped but i did lose the trail a few times. Once your in the alpine you cant help but feel exposed, huge terrain and no where to hide! Luckily the weather was fine, besides some crazy winds on some sections. You can stay ridge proper for most of the traverse with some slightly more hands on scrambling, descent off banded was pretty loose especially low down where looks like recent floods have impacted the creek and just above, made for a sketchy last few meters to the valley/river bed (also first chance you get to refill water, which i did as i'd only had 1lt at this point) i ended up taking the trail through the forest to begin with, which is non existent and just game trails, it must be quicker to stay in the river bed, but once i hit the established hike and horse trail it sped up again and i realized i was on track to make a good time, a bit of a grind along the last bit of double wide trail back to the bridge especially in the heat, but was determined to finish strong! Didn't see a single person in the alpine, just me and the mountains!
