Report
I set off from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port at 7:30am on Tuesday 5th May. Over the following 11 days, I averaged roughly 70km per day, before completing the final 30km into Santiago de Compostela on the morning of Saturday 16th May, finishing at 11am.
Each night, I stayed in hostels and albergues along the route, resupplying as I went from supermarkets and cafés in the towns and villages I passed through. I ran the entire distance solo, although I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with other pilgrims in the evenings and during resupply stops along the way.
The weather was fairly cold, with rain every day, but I loved the route — especially the views from the mountain tops.
