Ran the LVRT from Morrisville to Cambridge as a tempo run thinking about running a marathon this fall. Ran with a running vest with drink mix for my feeds and brought way more than I needed. I wasn't feeling the best that morning, but I was hoping I would wake up as I ran. Started off a bit slower aiming for a 7:30 as a warm up for the first mile, then dropped to my target tempo pace of a 6:45. I ended up finding that pace a lot harder to hold than I was expecting and gradually slowed for much of the run as I started to tighten up. I found some of the long farm field straight sections to be pretty difficult mentally. The last mile was partially slow because it was a cool down, but also because my legs were pretty dead. Apparently this effort took quite a lot out of me because I took a real stupid crash on a afternoon MTB ride and gave myself a pretty solid concussion!
