We started at Orient Point a little after 12:24 pm and got about as perfect a weather day as we could have asked for. Indira and Tara ran the north fork with us, and there were plenty of 7-Eleven stops along the way, with an early stop at a pizza shop in Greenport. We opted for Peconic Bay Boulevard instead of Main Road to avoid the traffic, which was a huge relief, and the water was on our left most of the way.

Brad swapped spots with Tara and ran with us around the fork. Craig and Alex dropped aid to us in Flanders, parked on the side of the road, and Seth met us at the 7-Eleven there and hooked me up with a dry shirt as the temps started dropping. We found a McDonald's in Hampton Bays and refueled a bit, and Rob met us there with some of our night gear to help get us through the main Hamptons section. Andy dropped in with an ice cream sandwich through Tuckahoe, and Rob had aid set up again for us in Southampton Village.

When we got to Water Mill I found a bench and took a quick power nap, and then we found ourselves at the Shell station begging successfully for a cup of noodles. We went through the Maidstone Club and down Further Lane, and had a really peaceful section with no traffic.

Once we got on the long stretch down Napeague it was a grind. We had a resupply drop at the Clam Bar by legend Mike that got us through it. Sunrise was coming up as we approached our last fuel stop at the Montauk 7-Eleven.

Approaching the lighthouse was a beautiful sight. We took the long way around, climbed over the rocks, and found our way to the easternmost point of Montauk, to the end.

Thank you to Indira, Tara, Brad, Craig, Alex, Seth, Rob, Andy, and Mike. And to Julie, for taking this on with me.
