Attraction of the route:
- Time needed: four to five days for the whole route.
- The trails are well-traveled , many sections have park posts marking every half kilometer.
- You'll find park benches, maps, bathrooms, fire pits, picnic tables, and tent camping areas for the use of hikers.
- Nice scenery and beautiful views.
- Nice beaches at Pui O and Changsha on the southern side.
- Mui Wo on the east end and Tai O on the west end offer old village attractions.
- You can view Hong Kong's second and third highest peaks.

I ran on my own, starting from a point at seashore, lap around the outermost periphery of Lantau
Island, and end at where I started. A pretty straightforward run. Carried one bottle of nutrition
drink to cover scores of miles. Take my time to rest, got resupply of food and water from convenience
stores on the route.
