Stirling Ridge Loop - Clockwise direction
Starting at 7am, the weather was excellent for a ridge walk. Cold but no wind or rain. We started up firetrail to Ellen’s peak. Firetrail fully loaded with water was a heavy start with some of the boys carrying 4L.
We were out here for a hard training run and that’s what we got. The ridge was in great condition. Not much water underfoot and the rocks were dry for the most part.
Navigation went mostly very well with a few bits of trail tricky to find around Ellen’s and the minor peaks.
Truly a great day out on the ridge and after a quick stop at the carpark we sent it home down the road. I daresay we will all be back again and soon. Thank you to Tarkine for supporting us this weekend.
