I've had my eye on this peak for a while and happy to finally get it done. Ran easy but intentional on the way up to Hawkins Pass and encountered only hand full of people. Refilled water at Little Frazier Lake and left with about 2:00 on the watch. Got to Hawkins Pass feeling fine and just enjoying the day. Started the off trail section and was surprised how exposed the ridge was and the rock is atrocious, so I back tracked and dropped a couple hundred feet off the ridge. Really loose footing and felt really slow in contrast to the first 12mi of trail. Got to the base of the no name high point between Hawkins Pass and Cusick that has a mix of black rock and granite / marble in its features. The scramble up actually felt a bit intimidating and spent some time looking to see if I could skirt around the base but seemed super cliffy. Pretty apprehensive to start but found a spot to start towards the left of the feature that was relatively easy. Most of the rock is terrible on this little scramble so just a heads up to anyone interested. Picked my way up slow and honestly wanted to turn around at one point with all the blocks I was pulling. Listening to them tumble down hundreds of feet always puts things into perspective. Got to the top of this no name feature and it was a smooth sailing up to Cusick. Got to the top of Cusick at 3:15. Spent 5min taking pictures and then headed down. Went down slow and safe getting to Hawkins in 4:09. Got some more water down at one of the creeks before Frazier Lake and ran smooth to the bottom. Finished at the road at 5:51:27.

It was overcast all day so nice and cool running. Didn't need too much water. I think someone could go much faster than I did.
