Mt. Marcy is definitely one of my favorite mountains. The day started off cool at 50 degrees, with clouds hanging low. The trails were muddy from the rain the night before, but nothing unusual for the Adirondacks. By the time I reached the top, it was still cloudy, but it cleared up as I started to descend. The sun really came out once I reached Marcy Dam, and from there, I cruised back to the lot.
