Went up via the Hutchinson Route vs the Southwest slope, though still started and ended at the North Lake Campground TH. Most complex route finding I've ever done! Felt way harder than 5.4, but I was definitely questing off route. Got equally confused downclimbing more 5th class on site on the way down that was supposed to be 4th and I was following cairns! Anyways, Humphreys basin was so wild, grand and immense. Not to mention Piute pass was so pretty too.
Technically this is the FKT for Humphreys, but it could go HOURS faster given all the poking around I ended up doing, plus doing taking the less technical ascent route. Had a great time, but honestly not a route I'd do again. Still really cool, was fun to be back down in Bishop and see the iconic summit block of Humphreys from town.
