On holiday and staying about 500m from the trail.
At 6am on Tuesday 27 May I ran around 4.5 miles to the start of the trail in Shide. It was an overcast muggy morning but still hard underfoot despite the overnight rain. There was a breeze from the west which overall was really helpful. I set off just before 7am and ran hard up the first climb. The run was all smooth and good going except some ploughed and heavily rutted fields just before Brading.
I was carrying 500ml of water and a 90g PF pouch both of which I finished during the run. I arrived at the coast - Bembridge Point just before 8.30am.
Following this I had an easy warm down running back to near Arreton where we were staying which was about 8.5miles.
A great morning out and a really cool way to explore the Island whilst on holiday.
