Ran alone and unsupported from Silkeborg to Aarhus, 81.5 km, following the provided GPX track and the signs on the way. It was a very hot day and especially from Skanderborg the sun hit directly from above with only few sections of shadow
All in all a fine route, in particular from Silkeborg to Ry and around Jeksen. The other parts of the route have a lot of gravel and asphalt which I as a trail runner is not used to run on thus making it hard on the legs. Also, the route is rather flat (~650m of height gain). I should have paid more attention to Jens Baltzersen‘s fine report stating that trail shoes were not necessary. 😅
A bit tricky around Skanderborg if you would only navigate by signs (they simply stop appearing), but the provided GPX is very precise except for some minor differences in Jeksendalen.
Equipment: Salomon S/Lab Ultra 3 trail shoes, Salomon lightweight backpack and a Buff to handle my hair.
