Started alongside Kevin Johnston intending to finish the full course together unsupported, he decided to drop around the Central St bridge. Carried all my own food and water in vest.
Elected to go under the Turnpike rather than crossing it as the route GPX seems to dictate for safety.
The ditch had water in it at the Womer bridge turnaround so I crossed at a dry spot then added some distance going a little farther north before doubling back.
Started around 6AM. 80+ degrees by the end and smoky from area grassfires. Air quality deemed “unhealthy”, almost 0 wind (the one day I would have welcomed some typical Kansas breeze)
