The ridge between Diamond Peak and Saddle Mountain frames perfectly in SE Idaho as it stretches for miles. Sometime in the last few years I got it in my head that I should traverse the whole thing in a single push. After some research it appeared there is no documentation that this had never been done before. I asked Haylee Stocking if she would like to join me on the adventure and she agreed! Josh Smith heard about it and volunteered to hike up a mountain and bring us goodies and brought his friend Jenny too. This turned out to be such a huge help, thank you again Josh and Jenny. This traverse was 90% off trail and we did a substantial portion of the route finding and scrambling on sight, this turned into a heck of a time getting down from Saddle Mountain in the dark to finish off the day. We started with Diamond Peak and in 2:15 found ourselves on top for sunrise, the next handful of peaks are very rugged and there was no shortage of rugged/exposed terrain to make things entertaining. The mountains just kept coming and we summited everything on the main Lemhi Crest from Diamond Peak to Saddle Mountain and made our way down to cold beverages and snacks.
