Great morning out on the Bollin Valley Way!
Living in Altrincham, the trail has been a lockdown discovery after exploring lots of new local footpaths. Its been great running different sections of the route over the last year, including a couple of out and back runs along the trail to Wilmslow. I did a recce of the section from Macclesfield to Altrincham the other week before attempting the full route.
The trail was very muddy and wet this morning after heavy rain in the week, so it was hard going at times - flooded fields etc.
Grateful to Chris Macdonald for joining me on the run. We carried our own water and gels etc.
