FKT: David Bone - Chess Valley Walk (United Kingdom) - 2020-09-22

Started in Rickmansworth. First thing I did was miss the bridge over the main road.

It's a great fast countryside mile to get going but then you hit a long single track mile which was busy with dog walkers.

The beautiful part of the route is in the middle - loved the watercress farm and valley views. Route is well signed with the brilliant blue fish Chess Valley sign and the green with yellow writing ones. There are some tight turns and cross overs so easy to go down the wrong one. 

Last few miles again have a tight single laned track before you hit the town of Chesham and the street mile to the station.

There are fast runable sections but some tricky tree laden and stony sections. Through in some elevation and it's got something for everyone
