Chesil Beach - UKs longest beach which has sand one end and an ever increasing size of stone 28KM at the other.
It's tough going on this surface - keep an eye out for the tides and rock falls - which we didn't but on another day! It's easy to get feet wet and keep them wet - It's a real skill to find the most runnable part of a stony beach and keep on it.
It's actually a desolate route with very little to see - other than the sea! which was grey and the mist kept us constantly damp and cold - Perfect British Summer
The Male FKT is 2 hour 40 mins which will take some beating as the surface is constantly punishing your feet and ankles
Route starts with great cafes at both ends Cornish Bakery and Quibbles - highly recommend
We carried a big bag of water and nutrition - so unsupported for us. Very little to get on this route if you don't come off the beach at Hive or West Lexington
