Started in Marston Vale Forest Centre and took a clockwise route.
First three miles were on flat gravel path around the lakes (unfortunately you dont get to see the lakes) A few more miles across fields before you get to a forest and some vert. More field miles and the previously reliable Marston Vale signs began to disappear. Got a little lost around Houghton House but then double backed and crossed Greensand Ridge - this is the most beautiful part of the route and where you get great views across the valley.
Some manicured slim pathways take you on to another forest (where I went majorly wrong and tried to cut through dense forest (slowly) Some great steep climbs here.
Final few miles were flat, through more fields( did see a dear hopping through a corn field) some housing estates before finishing back in forest centre.
On reflection the route might have been better (quicker) anti clockwise so hills were first and flat fast miles at the end. Definitely will check out more of Greensand Ridge
