I set off at 6am from Point Impossible with my dog River to Bells Beach (14km). My wife Lisa Clark did an amazing effort crewing for me the whole way. She drove to 7 different locations (Bells Beach, Point Addis, Anglesea River and Urquhart's Bluff, Anglesea River, Point Addis and Bells Beach) to meet me as I came through to provide me with food and hydration. I ate watermelon, banana, avocado sandwich, date balls, potato chips and pizza. I drank tailwind, water, beetroot juice and lemonade.
Lisa Clark also ran an out and back section with me from Urquhart's Bluff to Fairhaven and back again (16km section). I met my friend Jarrod Fogarty at Point Impossible on the way back were he paced me for the final stretch (21km).
The track was very busy with people being summer here in Australia and it also a long weekend for the country. The weather was great at about 26 Degrees Celsius and a light coastal breeze.
The day went really well, toward the end of the run I became quite exhausted but I am stoked with how I went as this my furthest run to date.
A big thankyou to Lisa and Jarrod for the help you provided on the day, I couldn't have done it without you guys!!
