Started in the lower parking lot, hence the 30sec discrepancy between elapsed activity time and TH-to-TH FKT time. This was an onsite effort for me, just before hopping on a plane to France to race the UTMB. So it served as a final sendoff. I began mid morning at 8:36 am. The remnants of Tropical Storm Hillary arrived the day before and by around 10am during the run, 90min into the route just as I was getting to the alpine slab field crossing, mist engulfed the mountain and it began to rain quite hard. While fairly brief, the rain made way for a cold wind and some additional drizzling. Water began streaming off the rocks and into the little gullies and the rock itself became quite cold. So my hands were cold and numb, not very useful on the scramble at the top. Still, I made decent time. I didn't push the downhill and the brush had become very soggy, offering quite a bit of resistance, on the way down. But it was a very very nice trip up and down a very cool peak. Obviously this can go significantly faster. I was shocked that nobody else has submitted a time for this since the route, from valley to peak and back is so so obvious.
