Report
I started at the sea near the Fontein caves. I aimed for an early morning start to avoid the worst of the heat, which meant I was able to see a lovely sunrise over the desert on my way to the fontein caves. I chose a fairly direct route on an undulating track. The sun rose quickly and the temperature was 32°C by the time I reached the summit gate.
I ran solo and carried my kit plus 2L of water. There are no streams or flowing waster of any kind on Aruba so it's important to carry plenty!
