The course starts at a beautiful old farm that is now a state park. I highly recommend warning up and cooling down on the field paths and check out all the stone walls. I was worried that I would have trouble staying on course but the path is wide and easy to follow. The course begins on the "bike path", eventually crossing over a bridge to get over the train tracks. Right after, you run alongside the tracks for about 3/4 of a mile. When you hit the Bluff Point parking area you stay on the wide path which loops around for about 3 miles before returning the same way you came in.
On my way over to Bluff Point I bumped into a friend who was out for a run and asked if he'd like to join me. I'd rather hang out with an old running buddy than feel the need to claim unsupported...... so that is why I call this run supported. He ran with me for about 4 miles chatting away.
Lots of people use these trails so it might be easier to run this during the day, mid-week. I chose a Saturday afternoon so had to negotiate around at least 60 people but since the trail is wide it wasn't too big of a deal.
