Started from the Southern Terminus and headed north to the end of the section where the Iroquois section begins.
Ran solo for the entire time and carried all food and water with me. I used my Sawyer filter to obtain water refills from streams and clean-looking ponds.
Trail conditions were favorable for the first 40k, then it turned into tons of mud and slippery, leaf-covered technical.
The trail was extremely well marked. Made a couple of small navigational errors in the first half (old re-routes as blazes were blacked out) but quickly backtracked to the main trail and found the correct direction.
The section was much more challenging than anticipated from the mud and rocks, but the rain that was forecasted held off for the most part!
So many beautiful streams, rapids and waterfalls to see! Even came across a bald eagle on the reservoir!
Tough day, but happy to have finished!
