Took off from Columbia Coffee and Cream on the corner of Walnut and Front just after 10AM. This was an unsupported attempt, so I carried a couple of flasks with G1M sport and my gels in my vest. I chose to follow the new trail section (finished in 2021 I believe) that takes you down Donegal and Front street in Mariette (roughly 3 miles out from Columbia). From there it was smooth sailing, knowing that this direction has marginally more climbing. At the Falmouth trailhead, I went out into the parking lot and took my watch photo next to the sign out there, stopped at the portapotty, and turned back around. Really didn't see many people around, mostly around the White Cliffs. Shocks Mill bridge had some serious ice buildup, so I had to just grip the handrail and crunch through it. Felt really beat up in the legs coming back into Marietta, and had to take a 30 second walk break just past Chiques Rock Outfitters. Then moved as best as I could back to Coffee and Cream, hitting just under 4 hours.
GPS track on my Coros Pace 2. Shoe of choice was the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3.
