Three days later, trying to go faster... really hot today. Started at 10:26. Encountered a four-horse tour group, lost 40 seconds there, but still ran the trail in 14 minutes, one minute faster than last time. Rocketed up the lower parts of the climb, but I kinda gassed a bit... I had to loosen my right shoe, as my foot had no circulation, but I think that was just due to the my calves being beyond pumped. In the 3rd quarter I was slower than last time, and thought I was way off pace. After a 40 second break to tighten my shoe and regroup, I decided I might be able to beat my time, so I motored up the last 800 vt ft or so. I think I hit the ridge about the same place as last time, maybe 150 meters from the summit, and saw that I was just below my previous time, so I redlined it up to the summit, 35 seconds faster.
