This is a really cool loop. It's a long, hard day but the terrain is actually pretty gentle the whole way. There was still fairly significant snow on the PCT on the northwest side of the mountains, getting progressively drier further south. Lots of water opportunity this time of year. The last few miles in the CCW direction are through a burn area with ridiculous amounts of deadfall, which is pretty miserable after 40+ miles. I'd think it's probably faster and more enjoyable to go CW and get that section out of the way early.
This route could be done way faster -- sub-7 in the right conditions. Really a great route I'll definitely do again!
