rocks!!! so many good rocks. i’d started up this ridge last fall right after the first snow and bailed because (surprise) there was more unconsolidated snow than i wanted to navigate solo and the vibes were off. this time, there was no snow on route and the vibes were great! i got a kinda late start and jogged the approach, trying to stay on trail for as long as i could before cutting left to the ridge. a convenient ledge system brought me to the ridge proper. i roughly followed Meika’s track after the first tower, and encountered some really fun cracks, slabs, and blocks. the movement was so good that i didn’t want it to end! i hit the summit in 3:11, then cruised down the sand and trail for 4:30:56 total. there’s still a ton of time that could be shaved off by more efficient routefinding (and choosing the path of least resistance), better fitness, and just pushing it a bit more. i’m excited to see what people do on this route!
