A beauty of a day for it! I wanted to give it a shot before the paths and fields got too muddy in the Winter, so took advantage of this recent dry and mild spell of Autumn to run it while the ground was firm and fast. I ran it alone with the water and snacks I needed. Started my watch touching St. Uny's Church, finished it touching St. Michael's causeway.
I'd never done the route before, so I followed the path markers religiously (as befits a pilgrimmage trail), but did still manage to make a few minor wrong turns, surprisingly, as I had my phone and OS maps close to hand at all times. It can't have cost me much time as I backtracked the short sections to regain the route. The route was beautiful, and a real highlight was when St. Michaels Mount first comes into view. It was wrapped in a low, silvery cloak of clouds, streaks of light breaking through to make it look like an ancient mystical giant.
