I started around 6 am from Torbole. The sunrise above lake Garda was stunning and made the long ascent easy. I brought 3 liters of water and food myself. However I had to buy water at three rifugios due to the extremely hot weather (Rifugio Altissimo, La Capannina, Rifugio Chierego). I had an amazing time on the ridge part as it is absolutely stunning. It should be noted that the downhill route navigation was a bit difficult due to some faults in the gpx file (had to look at my phone quite often and go back cause the route switches between paths suddenly and some parts were off-grid or over fences). The last 9km are a bit tough cause you have to run on sun-exposed roads. The moment I reached the lake I ate a huge ice cream and this was forgotten again. It was a wonderful day out.
