FKT: Elizabeth Gatherer - Beacons Way (United Kingdom) - 0023-07-23

I set the new ladies course record with GB Ultras. The weather was biblical, torrential rain, 40 - 50 mph winds but it was such an adventure! I had recced the last 25 miles and knew that the section leading to the quarry was tricky as well as a short section after the quarry where the Beacons Way joins the road at the corner. I love This part of the Wales and have covered much of the route on various races, training runs and FKT routes so it was wonderful to be able to the route in one go.
