A nice mixture of trail and country lanes, squishy mud in places, a section towards the end with very steep steps! The quarter mile on the Grayswood Road was a bit hairy (fast and frequent cars, no pavement). Plenty of opportunities to get food and drink along the way. A shout out to Harpers Steakhouse, you can park there for 4 hours for free if you are a patron (you need to go in to register your car numberplate) I asked them if I could come for a drink after the 4 hours parking and they very happily agreed and were very interested to hear about my run afterwards. I bought a coke for £2.99, very good value parking! The alternative was to pay for all day car parking to the car park company which would have been £12. Of course, you could also arrive by train to the star point!
