Spent the COVID summer close to home in Philly road running and working on my mile time. Was in A2 visiting my in-laws for the week and figured I'd take advantage of the free childcare to give this trail a go. Had hoped to finish in under 3 but it obviously didn't happen. I didn't bring any nutrition just because I hadn't brought any gels or anything with me on the visit. Live and learn. I think I had about 1.5 liters of water, which wasn't quite enough because I ran out probably 2-3 miles from the finish. I guess I sort of did it on a bit of a whim, but it was a great learning experience and a beautiful trail. Saw a few mountain bikers, but no other runners. Saw a turkey, a sandhill crane, and a red-eared slider while crossing one of the bridges. Great morning out in the woods.
