This was a beautiful trail. Lots of farm land, rolling hills to look out at, the river almost always winding along side you and beautiful stone walls and bridges. It crossed paths with the ice age trail and the badger state trail.  I started in New Glarus and headed to Broadhead. I carried everything I needed. I feel my gear and fuel was on point, thankfully. I only passed a family out for a walk and two hikers. The trail was clearly marked and easy to follow. There was no question where the beginning and end was. It was fairly cold with southwest winds that didn't bother me too much as the trail has nice wind blocks because it was mostly tree lined. I almost stepped on a mouse and saw a red tailed hawk.
