Parked at car at Spirit Tree Winery, 1.4km from finish, started at Hilton Hills Conservation parking when they opened at 9am.  We ran from the Southern Terminus to the Northern.  We walked from the parking to the 401 overpass where the section starts per the official Bruce Trail map.  The path is quite rocky and we were experimenting with using Tailwind for most of our nutrition.  We treated water at Limehouse Conservation area-We'd all drunk a bit over 2L. Trail had minimal elevation and lots of shade and not much road. We did have to jump over an Eastern Ribbonsnake on a path in a farmer field.  We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the path was and how much shade was provided.  In the farmer field sections, a row of trees had been left for shade and a few benches were available as well.  This trail also had lots of boardwalk over marshy areas in the north.  We were disappointed only at the area next to Hwy 7 which was meant to get hikers off the road to be safer, but was really overgrown and the scratches on my legs from all the thistle made me think the hwy would have been safer, but since we are purists, we stuck to the trail and made our way slowly through that section.  We finished off our water about 5km before the end point.
