Cool route. Would recommend a 4WD, high-clearance vehicle for getting all the way up to the trailhead. I parked my van 1.3 miles below the start. Steep climb at first, followed by some cruisy miles up top on the plateau. While you are under trees most of the time, the view at the end is amazing. There were quite a few snow patches up high and some fallen trees that I had to roll under. Definitely goes faster!
