This was a very fun route! It definitely tested my mental strength and my physical abilities. A fun day of rock hopping, scrambling and moving quickly through the mountains.
Brought 2 fun size snickers, 2 baby ruths 2 half ounce packages of honey, two kind bars, cell phone, emergency kit, 1 trekking pole, 1.5 liters of Gatorade
Scouted out the Express route 2 days prior and trail conditions didn't seem ideal for speed. The day I ran it conditions seemed to have improved but still not ideal.
Weather conditions were cool and mostly sunny. Started at the trail register. 3 miles in my achilles start to feel stressed. Once I got to the express climb I didn't feel it anymore. After I tagged Santononi I had my only slip of the trip. Made my way to Couchachraga then to Panther and back to the trail register.
